Wareham looks to get back on track Monday night when they cross the Cape to take on the Chatham Anglers. The series sits tied at one apiece with both teams winning on their respective home fields.

The Gatemen and the Anglers are both currently in last place in their divisions. Wareham holds a 10-13-2 record while Chatham comes in at 6-14-1. The Anglers are one of two teams who have yet to reach the double digit win mark, and have played 4 less games than the Gatemen due to multiple fog-outs at Veterans Park.

Wareham was silenced by the Hyannis Harbor Hawks on Sunday night, and struggled on both offense and defense. The Gatemen gave up nine runs on 13 hits and could only muster up one run on three hits after being no-hit through six innings.

In their last meeting with the Anglers at Spillane Field, the Gatemen snapped a three game skid thanks to a Grant Hussey (West Virginia) grand slam to win the game 8-4. Wareham will try to recreate that magic to stop their current two-game losing streak.

Brett Wozniak (High Point) will make his first start on the bump for the Gatemen this season. The southpaw pitcher has appeared in one game this summer against the Bourne Braves. He tossed 1.2 innings and gave up one run on two hits while striking out three of the seven batters he faced.

Gatemen fans can tune into the Gatemen Gamecast on YouTube to catch all the action at Veterans Field with pregame coverage starting at 6:40 before the 7 p.m. first pitch.
