Wareham travels to Guv Fuller Field for their final matchup against the Falmouth Commodores Saturday night. The Gatemen need to steal a road win tonight to have a shot of making the playoffs as they sit nine points out of the final playoff spot behind Bourne.

Despite the tough hill to climb, the Gatemen are still playing hard and giving it their all every time they get on the field.

“At this point in the season, to have guys that are really busting it out there it’s a coach’s dream,” manager Ryan Smyth said.

The series sits at 3-2 in favor of Falmouth. In the last meeting between the two teams, Wareham came out victorious with a final score of 5-2 as the sun set at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Garen Caulfield (Arizona) had a strong night at the plate with three hits and a two RBI single to seal the deal for the Gatemen. However, in both matchups at Guv Fuller Field, Falmouth has put up double digits on the Gatemen, losing 11-10 and winning 12-2.

Tonight, Riley Eikhoff will toe the rubber for Wareham. The Coastal Carolina product faced the Commodores in his last outing. After giving up a two-run homer, the righty settled in for six innings and drove through the Falmouth offense. He allowed just four hits and recorded six Ks and walked none. On the season, Eikhoff has walked just four out of the 91 batters he has faced.
