The Gatemen return to Spillane Field on Saturday night for their second matchup against the league leader Cotuit Kettleers. Cotuit holds a record of 9-3-1.

The first meeting between the two teams was an old fashioned pitchers duel, but the Gatemen fell 3-2.

Wareham comes into the Saturday night game off a much needed 8-4 win against the Chatham Anglers to put an end to their three game losing streak.

“It’s great,” manager Ryan Smyth said. “Obviously, it gives you a little bit of a a sense of you can breathe a little bit. But we play baseball tomorrow again so it’s the next day up and it’s been the same thing every single game whether we won or lost. It’s the next game.”

Aidan Major will make his Gatemen on the mound against the Kettleers. In his sophomore spring at West Virginia, Major made 21 appearances with 18 of them coming in relief. The Mountaineer worked his way through 48 innings and claimed a 4.88 ERA at the end of the season.

First pitch is set for 6 p.m and fans can tune in and catch the pregame coverage starting at 5:45.
