The Wareham Gatemen look to redeem themselves after a tough outing in the 2022 season. They open the season against the Falmouth Commodores. The Commodores had a 19-21-4 record in 2022 and finished in fourth in the Western Division, ahead of the Gatemen who went 13-24-7 on the summer.
The Gatemen are led by former Brewster assistant coach Ryan Smyth, who is in his first season managing in the Cape League. Smyth previously managed the Danbury Westerners in the NECBL and looks to bring his years of experience in coaching to Wareham.
The first pitch of the season is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Guv Fuller Field.
