The Gatemen are back at home after some road struggles to face the Falmouth Commodores.
Spillane Field has treated the Gatemen well this season. Seven of Wareham’s eight wins in 2023 have come at home. Manager Ryan Smyth said he’s knows how much playing in Wareham instead of on the road has benefited his team.
“I think being at home is going to help greatly,” Smyth said. “Obviously we’ve done well at home. I think they know who we’re playing tomorrow and the impact that this game could have.”
Falmouth currently sits at the bottom of the West Division at 6-10-2 while Wareham is in the middle of the pack at 8-8-2.
In their first two matchups, the Commodores have combined for 22 runs. Bryant Bulldog Brett Wichrowski aims to put a stop to the Falmouth offense. Righty Wichrowski has made three appearances for the Gatemen, including one start where he threw five innings and allowed two runs, seven hits and struck out four.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with pregame coverage beginning on the Gatemen Baseball Network at 5:40.
