Wareham will travel to Red Wilson Field to face the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox Thursday evening. The Gatemen aim to rebound quickly after Wednesday night’s 12-2 loss to the Falmouth Commodores.

After the game concluded, manager Ryan Smyth was ready to keep the ball rolling and focus on the Thursday night matchup.

“A quick turnaround maybe sometimes is a good thing,” Smyth said. “We just get right back on the field and we’ll flush today and get after it tomorrow.”

Last season, the Gatemen and the Red Sox split the four games they played each other in, each grabbing two wins.

Yarmouth-Dennis currently holds a 5-4-1 record after their 7-3 loss to the Bourne Braves.

The Gatemen turn to Casey Tallent to start on the mound. The rising sophomore out of Clemson comes to Wareham after throwing 20.2 innings in 15 appearances. Tallent collected a 3.05 ERA and had a 1-0 record for the year.

First pitch is set for 4:45 with pregame coverage beginning at 4:25 on the Gatemen Gamecast Broadcast on YouTube.
