Both the Gatemen and the Braves will travel to Polar Park in Worcester, MA tonight in their last matchup of the summer.
These two teams have battled it out this season with the first three meetings all ending in a 2-2 tie. The last two meetings at Doran Park in Bourne have left the Gatemen going home across the bridge with a loss. Wareham can only hope to pick up this last win in the season series.
Starting for Wareham tonight is righty Will Kroger III (Louisville). The sophomore has seven appearances for the Gatemen this season and has pitched 17.1 innings over that time. He posts a 3.11 ERA over that time with only six earned runs and one homer.
Cade Boxrucker (Campbell) will get the start for Bourne in Worcester. Boxrucker has five starts under his belt this summer, and posts an impressive 1.80 ERA in his 20 innings of work. He does have a tendency to give up a decent amount of hits to opposing batters, but few runs come across the plate.
First pitch is set for 6:45pm at Boston AAA ballpark.
