The Gatemen continue the road trip slate on Friday night with a stop at Lowell Park to face the Cotuit Kettleers. The Kettleers’ 12-5-0 record have them sitting atop the league as they hold a six point lead over Wareham.

The games on the road have proved difficult for the Gatemen. Since their opening day win at Falmouth, the Gatemen have gone 0-5-2 when not playing at Spillane Field.

New arrival Nolan Hughes(Fordham) hopes to create a spark for Wareham in his first appearance with the team. In his junior season with the Rams, Hughes appeared in 17 games and started six of them. The Massachusetts native pitched 47.2 innings and struck out 67 batters which was tied for the team high.

First pitch at Lowell Park is set for 5 p.m. and fans can catch the game on the Gatemen Gamecast on Youtube with pregame coverage starting at 4:40.
