The Gatemen are back in action after the Thursday off day. They travel across the cape to Veterans Field to face the Chatham Anglers, who posted the lowest record in the East Division in 2022 at 15-20-9.

After Wednesday night’s 5-2 win in the shortened game against the Orleans Firebirds, the Gatemen are on a two-game win streak and are looking to make it three.

With manager Ryan Smyth’s roster moves on the day off, Will Koger (Louisville) will get the start backed by his new teammates. Koger is one of two returning players to the Gatemen from the 2022 campaign. Last summer, he owned a 4.20 ERA and threw 25.2 innings. Koger’s 25 strikeouts had him tied for the third best on the 2022 Gatemen roster.

This past spring at Louisville, Koger had a 4.81 ERA in 16 appearances. Similarly to his time with the Gatemen, Koger threw  24.1 innings pitched and 25 strikeouts on his sheet during his sophomore year.

Fans can tune in to the “Gatemen Gamecast” broadcast for tonight’s matchup with pregame coverage starting at 6:45 and first pitch set for 7 p.m.
