In the second-to-last home game of the season, the Kettleers will travel to Spillane to take on the Gatemen.
Nick Hoffmann (Clemson) is Wareham’s probable starter. He’s only made appearances when Wareham faces Y-D, and this will be the right-hander’s first start of the season. He’s only pitched a total of five innings for Wareham this summer in his two appearances, so it’ll be a true test to see how far Hoffmann can go as a starter for the Gatemen.
Daniel Brooks (Charleston), on the other hand, has made eight appearances for the Kettleers, four of which were starts. In his 19.1 innings for Cotuit, he posts a 2.32 ERA, striking out 21 and walking 13.
First pitch is set for 6:00pm at Spillane Field. This will also be the last autograph night of the season, so make sure to stick around after the game!
