Gatemen back on the bus to face Harwich Mariners

The Gatemen are back on the road Friday night for a trip to Whitehouse Field to face the Harwich Mariners.

The series currently sits tied at 1-1 going into the matchup. Wareham looks to rebound after a shutout loss to the Cotuit Kettleers on Thursday night. Both teams are on losing streaks going in tonight, with Wareham losing the last four and Harwich the last three. Both teams were also shutout in their Thursday night games, as Harwich lost 12-0 to Orleans.

The Gatemen currently own a record of 10-15-2 and sit in last place in the West Division. The Mariners are at 13-15-0 in second place in the East.

Riley Eikhoff will toe the rubber for the Gatemen and look to halt the skid on Friday night. The last outing where the righty pitched, a 12-5 win over Brewster on July 7, was also the last Gatemen win. Eikhoff holds a 4.50 ERA through 10 innings of work. The Chanticleer pitcher has allowed 12 hits, but battled out of tough situations with 10 Ks on the season.
