The Gatemen look to rebound after their 7-4 loss Friday night to the Chatham Anglers and Saturday’s rainout. The team is back at home to face the Bourne Braves for their first matchup of the season.

Last season, the Braves went 3-0-3 against the Gatemen on their way to winning the CCBL championship.

Wareham looks to have the same success, trying to knock off the defending champs and get back in the win column.

The pitching staff will need to hold strong to win the matchup, according to manager Ryan Smyth.

“We got to put up more zeroes, that’s all,” Smyth said.

The Gatemen turn to Ryan Osinski (Bucknell) for his second start on the mound this season. In his three innings of work in two appearances with the Gatemen, Osinski owns a 6.00 ERA and has only allowed three hits.

First pitch is set for 6 p.m with pregame coverage beginning at 5:45 on the Gatemen Baseball Network.
