The Gatemen are back at it after the July 3rd off day and a rained out Independence Day to face the Bourne Braves Wednesday night at Doran Park.

The series between the two rivals sits at 1-0 on the season in Wareham’s favor. In their first meeting, Wareham clawed their way back from behind as many as five runs. The Gatemen grit and determination was put on display when the team battled back and shocked the Braves as they won in walk off fashion 7-6.

This second matchup is a pivotal point for the Gatemen as they look to snap their four game losing streak.

The Gatemen and the Braves come into the game with two high powered offenses. The two teams lead the Cape Cod Baseball League in runs scored this season, with 111 and 108 respectively.

Yoel Tejeda (Florida State transfer) will make his first start on the mound for the Gatemen. The righty has made three appearances out of the bullpen so far this season. Tejeda owns a 7.36 ERA from 3.2 innings of work.

Wareham looks to get back in the win column when they face the Braves tonight at 6 p.m. with pregame coverage on the Gatemen Gamecast on YouTube beginning at 5:45.
