As we inch closer to the warmer weather and summer nights spent outdoors, the Wareham Gatemen have announced their schedule for the 2022 season. The Gatemen have a number of exciting events happening this summer including hosting the 2022 CCBL All Star Game, playing at Polar Park in Worcester, MA, and an out of this world event night in late July.
The Cape Cod Baseball League schedule is back to normal in 2022. Each team will play 44 regular season games, with 22 at home and 22 away. With the exception of one double header at home, all Gatemen home games will begin at 6pm this season. All Gatemen games will be broadcast on Gatemen Baseball Network on YouTube.
2022 Schedule Highlights
Notable Games:
o The Gatemen will open the season at home on Sunday, June 12 against Hyannis Harbor Hawks @ Spillane Field in Wareham.
o The Gatemen will play a double header on June 26 against Harwich Mariners @ Spillane Field, Wareham. Game 1 starts at 4pm. Game 2 will start 30 minutes after Game 1 concludes.
o We are excited to share that the Gatemen are hosting the 2022 CCBL All Star Game on July 23! Gates will be open at 2pm. Home run derby will begin at 5pm. First pitch is at 6:05pm. Tickets will be on sale through the league and Gatemen website.
o The Gatemen will continue their tradition of playing in minor league parks in 2022 when they take on the Bourne Braves at Polar Park, Home of Worcester Red Sox, on July 25 at 6:45pm. Tickets are on sale now! >>Click Here << for general admission tickets – only $10 each!
Events/Theme Nights:
o Thursday, July 28, the Gatemen will host out Annual Movie Night! At 7pm, we will be watching Angels in the Outfield, staring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Danny Glover and Matthew McConaughey!
o Friday July 29, the Gatemen will be partnering with Lucasfilm for a Star Wars Night! Dress up as your favorite Star Wars character and meet some of the stars of the movies and tv shows.
The Gatemen finish the regular season Aug 2 @ Eldredge Park in Orleans at 6:30pm. August 3 will be a league-wide day off before playoffs begin. The top four teams from each division make the playoffs, beginning on Aug 4.
