Gatemen Travel to Lowell Park to Take on Cotuit

The Wareham Gatemen will travel to Lowell Park to take on the Cotuit Kettleers at 5:00pm. The Gatemen head into the game sporting a 6-9-1 record while the league best Kettleers are sitting at 12-2-2.

Jason Woodward (Florida Gulf Coast) is expected to get his third start of the season Thursday night. In his first two outings, Woodward is sitting at a 3.85 ERA in seven innings pitched. He has struck out just four batters while walking three.

The Kettleers are expected to hand the ball to Dalton Rogers (Southern Mississippi). Rogers has yet to appear in a game for Cotuit and will look to build on an impressive 2022 at Southern Mississippi. Rogers threw 37 innings and registered a 1.95 ERA while compiling six saves.

Wareham’s offense has been abysmal all season batting just .224 combined. The roster has hit just six home runs, two coming off the bats of Bryan Padilla (UConn) and Hogan Windish (UNC Greensboro) last night. The Gatemen need to get the bats going in order to maintain a playoff spot in the West division.

The Gatemen will look to pick up their seventh win of the season while Cotuit looks for league leading win number 13. For complete game notes click here
