Gatemen and Commodores to Face Off in Inter-Division Battle

The Falmouth Commodores will play host to the Wareham Gatemen tonight at Arnie Allen Diamond with first pitch at 6:00pm. Wareham will look to get back in the win column after last night’s loss to Hyannis.

The Gatemen are expected to start Grayson Moore (Vanderbilt). This will be Moore’s second appearance in the Cape Cod Baseball League this Summer. He went 2.1 innings in his debut while striking out two.

Falmouth’s probable starter tonight is Ben Hess (Alabama). Hess has already started two games for the Commodores this season and has pitched to the tune of a 1.28 ERA. He has struck out nine across his seven innings pitched.

Wareham’s offense struck early in Hyannis scoring four runs in the first two innings. Then the bats went ice cold as they did not plate another run in their loss. Hogan Windish (UNC Greensboro) has been a bright spot for the Gatemen, batting .350 with five RBIs.

Falmouth and Wareham both enter the contest at 4-6-1 and look to pick up their fifth win of the season in a game that may end up having playoff implications. For full game notes click here.
