The Wareham Gatemen Baseball Organization is sad to announce that the 2020 summer season has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 health crisis. Though some may be upset by this decision, the Gatemen Organization agrees with and fully supports the decision to cancel the season. The Gatemen would like to thank their fans, sponsors, supporters, the 2020 players and coaches, our vendors, our volunteers, the Israeli Olympic Baseball Team, and Mass Maritime for their support. We will take this extended break to make some improvements to Spillane Field to improve the on-field safety for the players and coaches as well as the fan experience off the field. Please everyone stay safe and healthy.

Cape Cod, MA – April 24, 2020:
The Cape Cod Baseball League Executive Committee has voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Cape Cod Baseball League season. The decision was based on the health concerns and safety needs of all involved. Following CDC guidelines and medical recommendations, the league determined it would be impossible to guarantee the safety of players, coaches, umpires, host families, volunteers and fans during this unprecedented health crisis.
We would like to thank all our dedicated volunteers and sponsors for their support and look forward to playing again in 2021. Thank you for your continued support and stay safe and healthy.
