Dick Flavin and Patrick Pass Slated to Speak at Gatemen First Pitch Dinner Fundraiser on June 9th

The Wareham Gatemen today announced that Dick Flavin and Patrick Pass will be guest speakers at the Gatemen First Pitch Dinner Fundraiser held on June 9th at the Rosebrook Event Center within the Marriott TownePlace Suites in Wareham, MA.
Flavin, a native of Qunicy Massachusetts, is a member of the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He has held many position over his career; a satirist at WBZ-TV for 14 years, an authur and currently the official Poet Laureate of the Boston Red Sox. Flavin, along with speaking at the event, will be donating a signed copy of his collection of poetry titled Red Sox Rhymes: Verses and Curses for auction.
Patrick Pass is a former member of the New England Patriots and was a major contributor to the team’s first three Super Bowl championships in 2001, 2003 and 2004. Pass has a strong connection to baseball. In 1996, Pass was drafted by the Florida Marlins and played the next three seasons in their minor league system while also playing football at the University of Georgia. Pass will bring his three championship rings to the event for attendees to admire and take pictures.
Both Flavin and Pass are popular and well respected figures within the New England sports world.
