WAREHAM, MA: Recording artist, former American Idol contestant and the official national anthem singer for the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers Ayla Brown will perform that national anthem on July 12th before the game between the Wareham Gatemen and the Hyannis HarborHawks.
A Massachusetts native from Wrentham, the 23 year old was a semi-finalist in the 2005-2006 American Idol season. She followed that up with the release of her first album titled “Forward”. Brown has performed the national anthem a number of times for the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Celtics and before NCAA games. She also performed at the 2006 Annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular and at the Let Freedom Sing concert alongside the Nashville Symphony Orchestra in 2010.
In addition to her singing talent, Ayla played basketball at Boston College. She is the elder daughter of United States Senator Scott Brown from Massachusetts.
