2010 Internet Broadcast Team Named

The Wareham Gatemen organization is pleased to announce that Chris Aliano from Boston University and Eric Silverman from Syrancuse University will team up to become the 2010 Wareham Gatemen Broadcast team.  Continuing our tradition of supporting college students that are persuing a career in broadcast journalism, the Gatemen are excited about delivering another season of quality internet broadcasts to our fans, parents and baseball enthusiasts.

Chris Aliano is a junior at Boston University, majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in history.  He is the sports director of the student-run radio station, WTBU, and the lead beat writer for the defending national champion men’s hockey team.  Originally from Hawthorne, New Jersey, but willing to go wherever the job takes him.  Also a member of the Boston University Ski Racing Team. Enjoys soccer, ping pong, and hockey.  Always rooting for the underdog.  Unfortunate fan of the Mets and Giants.

Eric Silverman is a broadcast journalism major at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Eric is a play-by-play announcer and color commentator for the Syracuse Stars junior hockey club. At S-U, he is a host and reporter for high school football and Orange Women’s Basketball and Lacrosse at WJPZ 89.1 FM.  He is also an analyst for ‘Cuse Countdown, the only pre-game television show in the Syracuse market, and an Associate Producer for the SportsCenter-style show On the Bench, at CitrusTV on Time Warner Sports. Eric hails from Freehold, New Jersey.

The Gatemen are hopeful to bring you all 44 regular season games and any playoff games this summer.  Unlike previous seasons, we are excited about delivering an audio broadcast of all away games.  For home games, we will continue to bring live audio and video from Spillane Field.

More details about our broadcast will come as we get closer to the season.
